Pastors Florian & Mirabela Vasile
Florian and Mirabela Vasile, both native Romanians, came to Johnson City Tennessee in 2005 when they started college at East Tennessee State University. They graduated with their Bachelor’s degrees, and then pursued their Master’s degrees, never imagning what God had in store for them. In 2007 they went back to Brasov to have their wedding, but returned to the US to finish their education, aiming for careers in corporate America. While in the US God brought Florian and Mirabela to Calvary Church, where they served as youth leaders, and volunteers in different areas of ministry. Through a series of personal and public prophetic messages God made His will clear to them, and in obedience, they followed God’s leading to move back to Brasov, Romania, in September 2010. With no prior church planting, or missionary ministry experience they left behind friends, family and career opportunities to go start Calvary Ministries Romania.
Two months after being back in Romania, in November 2010, they started C3 – Calvary Christian Center, a church that is meant to break down the traditional, ritualic and misleading idea of a church that people in Romania are used to. Their desire is to raise a church that will seek to live out the kind of life that Jesus lived, to go to the places that Jesus would go and to love the people of Romania like Jesus does. Just as Jesus was sent into the World, they too know that they are sent to be the God flavors and God colors in the city of Brasov, in Romania and the rest of the World. Their goal is to make the Kingdom of God tangible for the people of Romania, believing that people should be able to touch it, taste it , see it and feel it.
